2022 International Symposium on Roadmapping Devices and Systems (ISRDS)

The 2022 International Symposium on Roadmapping Devices and Systems (ISRDS) is now available as a set of Videos on Demand and offered as two Sessions.  You can register for both Sessions or for either Session 1 or Session 2.

Registration gives you access to all the videos and presentations for that Session.

Registration for On-Demand access is available at this link

Descriptions and the list of videos are below for each session.

  • Session 1— "2022 IRDS Roadmap Summaries"
    • IRDS IFT read-outs preview the 2022 International Roadmap for Devices and Systems (IRDS)

  • Session 2—"New Directions for Computing"
    • Highlights from the 2021 IEEE International Conference on Rebooting Computing (ICRC 2021).

As the successor to the ITRS, the IRDS™ topics are a forecast of technology and systems characteristics, needed technologies, and capabilities of the microelectronics and systems industries.  The intent is to focus on academic, manufacturing, supply, and research coordination regarding the development of microelectronic devices and systems.

The goals of the roadmap are as follows:

  1. To identify key trends related to devices, systems, and all related technologies by generating a roadmap with a 15-year horizon
  2. To determine generic devices' and systems' needs, challenges, potential solutions, and opportunities for innovation
  3. To encourage related activities worldwide through collaborative events, such as related IEEE conferences and roadmap workshops

Benefits to Attending the ISRDS

  • Find out more about the Computer Society Task Force on Rebooting Computing;
  • Hear the latest IRDS forecast of trends of systems and microelectronics that influence the devices and systems industry, challenges for success and needed collaborations;
  • Listen to key presentations from the International Conference on Rebooting Computing about New Directions for Computing, including Adiabatic Circuits; Neuromorphic Computing, and Quantum Processing Considerations, and
  • Learn how to become a part of these activities as a contributor and team member.
